Road Subsidence Remediations

Taylered was engaged to undertake emergency rectification works following severe subsidence along the Ring Road during the Cyclone Alfred weather event.

Initial response included immediate safety measures such as road plate installation, barricading, and site containment. Geotechnical engineers were engaged to assess subsurface conditions using GPR technology, supported by soil testing and structural review.

Remedial works involved controlled asphalt removal, staged excavation, and installation of engineered fill per engineering specifications. Layers were compacted to required density to reinstate structural integrity. The site was resurfaced with asphalt, compacted, and cured to match surrounding pavement levels. Final inspection confirmed structural stability before reopening. All safety measures were removed, and the area was fully restored, with minimal disruption to surrounding infrastructure and the local environment.
